International Geodiversity Day
In an event held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the University of the Aegean's Geography Auditorium, the International Geodiversity Day was celebrated for the first time!
The event was organized by the Department of Geography and the Museum of Natural History of the Lesvos Petrified Forest!
Lesvos is a prime example of the benefits that the local community can have from highlighting the special Geodiversity of the island.
After all, the rich Geodiversity is the foundation for its rich biodiversity!
